The International Workers' Compensation Foundation, Inc. (IWCF), is a non-profit organization dedicated to workers' compensation education and outreach. The IWCF and state workers' compensation agencies co-sponsor a number of educational conferences each year. These conferences allow employees, employers, medical and rehabilitation providers, insurance carriers, third party administrators, attorneys, service providers, human resource professionals, and anyone with an interest in workers' compensation, to keep abreast of each state's requirements.
The goal of these conferences is to educate those who participate in each state's workers' compensation system regarding current rules, procedures, policies, and forms, and to create opportunity for dialogue among these participants. Special speakers from each state give important information to the attendees. In turn, the conference participants have opportunities to meet agency staff and others who are active in the workers' compensation system and discuss possible changes.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
All employers, insurance adjusters, self-insurers, third party administrators, safety and human resource managers, attorneys representing claimants, the defense bar, paralegals, medical professionals, and vocational rehabilitation providers are encouraged to attend. In fact, anyone interested in the workers' compensation system will receive valuable information at the conference.
Most conferences also offer an opportunity for exhibitors to make attendees aware of their services and products. Many also provide sponsorship opportunities.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS
Participants may be eligible for continuing education credits for conference attendance. Most conferences are pre-approved for CLE credit (host-state bar), CE credit for adjusters (where offered by the state) and insurance producers, human resources credit (SHRM), and rehabilitation professionals credits (CCM, CRC and CDMS). In all cases, a certificate of attendance is available on request for other professional disciplines.
